It looks like they're about to slow dance, but they're not sure whose hands should go on the other's shoulders, and whose will go on the hips. Plan in advance, boys!
Fernando, during happier times.
Is Fernando an ass man?Hey loyal blog followers,
We are entering week four of the tears, jeers, and beers-fest we like to call NaNoWriMo. The clouds are supposed to part this week, revealing sunshine, lollipops and rainbows. Will it happen for me? Likely not.
My book is flopping around like a fish out of water right now. It's confused. It's bad.
I don't want to subject you to its horridness. Through a massive editing process which will commence in July, my book might become somewhat readable.
I'm having a lot of trouble with figuring out what to do next in the book. I do appreciate all of your comments and suggestions, and will probably shamelessly be asking tips until it's done.
Until then, I might update every once in a while, but there probably won't be much that you will want to read. Here are some Fernando pictures.

Going dark is not an option in NaNoWriMo. How can you say that your book is bad? Judging by the comments on your last post, we are all on the edge of our seats waiting to find out what is going to happen. That is the mark of a GREAT book, my friend.
ReplyDeleteI'm having so much trouble with what's going on right now in the book that I want to have the time to edit it when it's done. If I tried to make it good on the first try, I would never write it.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad that everyone is excited though!
Katie, I would like to point out that you stole my line. I think that going dark at this time is actually appropriate. I also, am posting a blog stating that I am going dark. I think that we need to keep the ends of our books to ourselves, so that our faithful readers can read for themselves what the outcome is. Have no fear, Katie, you will write the end. And if you never want to share with anyone, you don't have to. Now, for God's sake, get rid of your inner editor! When did it come back? I think good writing is hard, and painful. You are going places emotionally that are difficult. Don't pull your punches. Follow your story into the dark.
ReplyDeleteJill, if I'm not mistaken, I credited Jack, and therefore you.
ReplyDeleteGood call on the going dark idea, though.
